24 Days of Thanks - Day 19

Today I'm thankful for the little things I take for granted - like my cell phone, my laptop, the dishwasher, having nice clothes and shoes, being able to drive through Starbucks - you know, things that in the grand scheme of things probably don't really matter...I'm still grateful!

I'm also thankful for my "new old friend"....Evie and I were childhood friends while we lived in Florida from about ages 8-15.  Our families did everything together, we were in church plays together, and I even "dated" her brothers (as much as you can "date" when you're that age!!).   Her family moved to South Carolina when we were teenagers and we lost contact.  Now that we have relocated to SC (18 years later!!)  Evie and I have reconnected and come to find out we only live about 5 miles from each other!!!    We got together for a play date this week - her little boy Drew is about 6 months younger than Atticus and they have fun together!
