Today our family packed shoe boxes as part of Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child.
I know Atticus is still very young to understand the relevance of what we did today, but I can't think of anything better then for him getting to see first hand the importance of helping those less fortunate. We chose to fill boxes for little boys ages 2-4. We're not sure where our boxes will end up but we pray that the young lives that receive these gifts will feel the love of Christ and the love and prayers that we wrapped inside. We included several different toys, some hygiene products, socks and a hat, a reusable water bottle, as well as a personal note and picture of our family. There is still time if you'd like to participate - you can find out more by clicking here and be part of something that is impacting children around the world.
Atticus enjoyed helping us put all the goodies inside the boxes, he especially liked the slinky...
