Atticus slept in this morning until about 9 o'clock (the result of no nap yesterday, plus a late night and not feeling well). He woke up still coughing so we decided to go ahead and take him in to see the doctor. I called the practice that several of the other faculty use and they were able to get us in the morning - I didn't want to go into the weekend and it get worse then not be able to take him in...
Our new doctor was very nice, Atticus seemed to feel comfortable with her and so did we. Turns out they said his sneezing, coughing, and runny nose is a result of allergies and gave him over the counter meds to treat it. Hopefully it will work and he'll be feeling better!!
Auntie M and Uncle D were good sports and hung out in the waiting room during our visit and then we headed over to Strossner's for lunch. They have delicious chicken salad and just about every bakery item you can imagine...we all split a chocolate eclair.
After lunch we took a stroll through the mall and let Atticus ride the train. It takes you on a ride all through the mall - Atticus loved it and kept saying "more, more"...He and Aaron had fun while Merinda, Daniel, and I walked alongside the train and snapped some photos.
We came home for nap time and Atticus slept for a little over three hours! He was a tired boy! He woke up in a good mood and so we went downtown for dinner at Smoke on the Water.
We shared an order of fried green tomatoes, I had a crab cake po' boy, Aaron had smoked brisket and chicken, Merinda had pulled pork, Daniel had the prime rib, and Atticus had a little bit of everything :)
The weather today has been gorgeous! High in the low 70's - we've had the windows open and it makes me want to watch college football!!! After dinner we went for a walk downtown and through Falls Park - the weather was too nice to be inside for sure! The boys grabbed an ice cream, while Merinda and I got coffee.
Back home we got little man ready for bed - bath, books, milk, prayers and a little Vicks vapor rub. Then we all crashed on the couch and watched an episode o Sherlock on Netflix - very cool series if you've never seen it.
Great day, but ready for bed! Nighty Night!
