Only 12 Weeks To Go...WOW!
Today I had my 28 week check up. This was the longest of all my appointments so far. I had to drink a sweet orange beverage in order to have my glucose tested for gestational diabetes. They needed an hour to let the sugary drink make it's way into my blood system so we walked over to the hospital and got pre-registered in the maternity ward :) Then we went back to my doctor's office so that my blood could be drawn and so that we could do my ultrasound. Today Atticus weighed 2 pounds 8 ounces which puts him in the 48th percentile. Dr. Martin said that was perfect - she strives for being just under 50% - this helps ensure that we don't have a huge baby...she predicted that he would be between 7 - 7.5 pounds at birth. Here are two of my favorite pictures from today:
The model of a sweet sleeping baby boy.
His legs crossed at the ankles - and boy can he kick with those feet!
awwww.. how precious! love that boy!
ReplyDeleteGlad to catch up via the blog--so sorry not to get to convention to see you in person! Wish I'd been able to hear what you had to say at the executive banquet...
ReplyDeleteI have a friend whose son is Atticus--what fun to know of two of them now! Great name, and what a lucky boy to be born to you and Aaron. All best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy, and a safe labor and delivery.
Thanks for YOUR inspiration!
