Today was Hands on Greenville. It's a day of service to our community where organizations from all over the city provide hands-on work to local non-profits and other smaller businesses that need assistance and to share the love to those in need. Our church participated in this event...Some did landscaping, painting, gardening, served in the soup kitchen, packaged care boxes to the troops, and more!
I was on the team that planned the "after-party" for all the participants. Since Hands on Greenville has become known to the locals as H.O.G. Day, we decided to go with a Harvest/BBQ theme. It was a great way to re-purpose alot of the decorations I made for Atticus' 2nd birthday party :)
It was a pleasure working with my friend Tallison! Her husband is our praise and worship leader and so we've gotten to know them better since joining the team! They have two sweet kids, Lyric and Ezra.

Atticus wasn't sure about the pig noses at first, but he finally came around... You'll also notice that he is wearing his Star Wars shirt in honor of National Star Wars day...May the 4th (May the force be with you!)....get it, pretty clever, huh???
My new friend Megan! She and her husband recently moved here from Michigan where she went to church with my longtime friend Trish! When Trish found out they were heading to Greenville she put us in touch with each other and it's been an instant friendship since!!
Tallison and I got in on the crayon action at the kids table!! Love that craft paper...sure makes clean up a breeze...might need to start using it at home on the dining table :) haha!
