Spent a lovely day with my boys in downtown Greenville at Artisphere. It's a huge art festival, ranked #7 in the country, and highlights every sort of art you could possibly think of (or never think of!). Here are a few snapshots from our day...starting with waffles at Spill the Beans!!!
It was hard for Atticus to see some of the artists at work, like the glass blower and wood carvers so he spent a good deal on dads shoulders...which proved to be one of the best views!
He was quite entertained by the array of pinwheels...
There was a portion of the event devoted to kids and art and we spent a lot of time there...Atticus made a multi-media sculpture...he was very proud...and covered in glitter!!
He also painted a tile for the new Ronald McDonald house...they will be creating a mosaic with all the individual tiles...
There were displays of all kinds of art throughout the downtown area...from aerial dancers to sidewalk chalk artists.
We had a lovely lunch at Rick Erwins deli...they have a great selection of vegan options, so it's one of my new favorites!!! And they have chocolate mousse so it's one of Aaron's favorites too!!
It reminded me alot of ArtsFest that I worked on the board for while we lived in Conway...just on a MUCH bigger scale...
There was also a cullinary arts section that was awesome, we got to sample a variety of good eats and drinks! You should totally come join us next year....who wants to come for a visit??
