Christmas Parade & Holiday Happenings!

I love living in a small town (next to a big one) because we get the best of both worlds!  One of the things we've come to love about small town living is the annual Christmas parade - such a fun way to kick off the holiday season!

We're always sure to get a front row seat because as the floats go by they throw candy and other goodies to the kiddos below :)
This is a look of pure joy!  He's ready for Christmas!
And it wouldn't be a Christmas parade without this dude!
Lovely morning...and yes, those are empty cinnamon roll contains under our chairs.  We couldn't resist the smell when we walked past our favorite local bakery :)
Other random holiday happenings in the wonderful life of Atticus:   We had a pencil sketch made of Atticus while we were doing some shopping at our local farmers market - it turned out very sweet and we gave it to Grandma for Christmas.

A holiday tradition...the building of a gingerbread house...here is our finished product!

And this little elf was all snuggly in his Christmas pj's while sipping hot chocolate with his breakfast!
Downtown Ashville - dinner and shopping!
Buddy the Elf came to spend a few weeks with us as he has done for the past 4 years.  This year he brought Atticus some cool Christmas crafts, new pj's, an Elf on the Shelf Tervis Tumbler and all the necessary ingredients to make a yummy treat for his snack day at school.
He was SO excited to bring the treats to school for snack day!
Isn't he the cutest?  Doing a little shopping at Hobby Lobby :)
We went Christmas caroling at the Furman retirement home with the other families in our community group from church.  The boys were ready with jingle bells in hand :)
He was very sweet singing along with all the songs he knew and did a nice job handing out candy canes to the residents once we were done singing.
And.....then there is this.  A boy and his robe!
