We shared in a beautiful worship service on Christmas Eve at the church where Atticus goes to school. There was such a warm and welcoming spirit there.
Although we don't attend church there on a regular basis, all of the children that attend the dayschool were invited to participate in the (no-rehearsal) Christmas pageant. We were delighted to watch Atticus play a special role as one of the kings.
A few of Atticus' classmates were also in the pageant....one was an angel and the other a sheep.
Getting lined up and ready to walk in. He looked so precious walking down the center aisle to take his place on stage.
They sang a variety of carols in between the telling of the Christmas story. It was so sweet...and luckily he knew all the songs :)
We were so proud and Atticus loved being part of his very first pageant!
After the pageant we had a candlelight dinner at one of our favorites spots and then headed home to open stockings and set out cookies and carrots for Santa and the reindeer.
Aaron told me to be sure to leave some room in Atticus' stocking because he had some things he wanted to include....I had no idea what he had in store...but as you can see from the series of pictures to follow, the goodies Dad picked out got rave reviews! Lots of laughs!
