No, you're eyes aren't failing you and yes, we are THOSE parents! Atticus is proudly donning elbow guards, knee pads, riding gloves, sunglasses and a helmet... a little over-board you say?? Better safe than all banged up in my books!
Getting the hang of the up and down motion with his legs was no problem... Steering, however, not so easy.... And what "I have to watch where I'm going at the same time??"

Yeah...that didn't last long :) He quickly realized hands on the handle bars were a good thing.
He had so much fun riding up and down the trail near our house - lots of other folks on bikes spinning by, but none as cool as this kid, for sure!!
Grandpa and Grandma were in town to share in the excitement of his bicycle debut. They were very proud of him...almost as proud as he was of himself...Love that little boy!

It's really crazy to think about how fast Atticus is growing up - he'll be THREE in just a couple of months! He is growing into such a sweet, kind, and loving little boy. I am so proud of him and thankful that God gave him to us. Now if I could just figure out how to make time stand still...
