Merinda came to visit us for a week and we all had so much fun playing together, although I'm pretty sure Auntie M was wore out by the time she headed back home... 2 1/2 year olds have a way of zapping your energy :) Oh well, one day while she was here we went blackberry and blueberry picking!!!

The blackberries were gorgeous...and huge! They were a little harder to pick than the blueberries...thorns aren't fun, but we managed just fine without any injuries.
Aaron showed little man which berries to pick and which to leave...It didn't take him long to figure it out!
When we got to the blueberries, Atticus was a pro!! It helped that there weren't any thorns and they basically just fell off in your hands, but nonetheless, he was quite the blueberry picker!

By the time we were done picking we had 12 pounds of berries! We ate a few on the way home, put lots in the freezer for later, and have already enjoyed them in salads, cereal, ice cream, and cobbler!!!
Looks like you had so much fun! I can't wait to get some berry picking in. :)
