Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina!

We just returned from a whirlwind trip to South Carolina with a pit stop in Alabama to see family and friends (and give Atticus a break from the loooong car ride).   Atticus did have a few "moments" along on the way, but all in all did amazingly well, considering the circumstances.  Here are some highlights from our trip:

Atticus got to meet Uncle Evan for the first time (and his dog Rothko - which was a huge hit!)
Check out this video of Atticus and Rothko :)

There is an amazing park in the middle of downtown Greenville.  We spent one afternoon just exploring all the shops, galleries, and restaurants - I can't wait to spend more time there!!
poor little guy - we left his sunglasses in the car...
We went on a duck adventure on Furman's campus - Atticus loved feeding the ducks - not sure how the ducks felt about it...considering they were being threatened by a toddler with sticks (I think they'd agree that the Cheeze-Its weren't worth the risk of getting hit...)
Check out this video of Atticus and the ducks :)

We also got to see some old friends and Atticus got to meet some new friends...
This is my friend Jessica's little boy Chase - such a cutie!!
It was SO good to see Jessica!!!  Can't wait to live just a few miles away from her!
We also got to see our friends Barry and Linnea and their little boy Issac.  We first met them while we lived in Nashville - we were all in Graduate Christian Fellowship together.  Barry is now a professor at Samford and Linnea teaches ESL.
Of all the fun and new things we did this week, I think Atticus' favorite thing by far was playing with the toilet paper in the hotel room...he was cracking himself up (which made us crack up watching him!).
I'm pretty sure the fact that he doesn't have any pants on in this picture adds to the cuteness...don't you think?
The main reason for our trip was to hopefully find a house...  We ran into some governmental red tape that we thought was going to create about a three month delay in our being able to buy a house...But remember how awesome God worked out all the details with the sale of our house???  He did just the same with the purchase of our new home.  The house we fell in love with is actually a model home in a new neighborhood and the builder agreed to let us "rent" the house until we can close in September!!!  He is building another model and was wanting to sell this one at the end of May - which just happens to be when we need it!  This is saving us from having to rent an apartment for three or so months and moving twice!!  HE IS SO GOOD!!!  Here's a picture :)
